Anxiety

The most recent information shows that over 9 million people will suffer from anxiety and anxiety-related conditions within their lifetime. This is a debilitating condition which can be frightening and isolating and is increasing rapidly in modern times.

Whilst some stress can be useful, excessive stress can be very difficult to manage. Chronic stress can lead to harmful health conditions such as high blood pressure and gut related illnesses.

The combination of Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy can be very effective in easing the symptoms and strengthening resilience for the future.

Phobias

A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder. It takes the form of intense fear or anxiety which is caused by an object or situation, even if this seems irrational
at the time. The most common phobias are spiders, heights, water, snakes, enclosed spaces, flying and public speaking but there are many more.

Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy can help to reduce anxiety and deactivate the fear response enabling a return to full control.

Depression

Depression is becoming a more widely understood illness however it can still be very isolating, particularly when you are told to “just cheer up” or “pull yourself out of it”. It is more than just sadness and or being fed-up and requires understanding and support.

The combination of Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy can help ease the symptoms of depression and help people to regain a normal life.

Make peace with food

At some point in our lives we all come to the realisation that diets don’t work. This, however, leaves us lost as to how to manage our weight and health. Through Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy we can look at how to get back in touch with what our bodies need. Through increasing self-esteem and confidence in our own abilities to look after ourselves we can make peace with food.

Insomnia

Through recent research it is becoming more widely understood how and why sleep is so important. The Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences state “…disrupted sleep leads to health problems ranging across increased stress
hormones, heart disease, weight abnormalities, reduced immunity, increased risk of cancer, and emotional and cognitive problems.”

The combination of Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy can be very effective at restoring sleep patterns and combating insomnia.

Addictions

Addictions include smoking, alcohol, gambling, shopping etc. Hypnosis puts suggestions into the subconscious mind to eradicate negative beliefs and thought patterns and to replace them with ones that encourage a more positive healthy life.
